Dec 15, 2018 - Pressing F3 (or Fn + F3 on Macs and some laptops) brings up a debug screen with various data—including your current coordinates, at the top left of the screen. On new Macs, however, the Fn + F3 keystroke does not display coordinates. Use Alt + Fn + F3 instead. Jan 04, 2013 I am getting close to just quitting Minecraft permanently. If it is a mod provide step by step instructions on how to download it on a macbook pro in english. I am not computer savvy so don't use complicated words only computer geniuses or lawyers would know.
The colour of the map corresponds to the biome at that point, e.g. Blue for ocean. You can hover or click to get the biome name displayed on the info panel. What you build doesn't effect the biome so won't show up. Shading is an indication of how hilly the area is - it doesn't correspond to the exact hills in the game as I can't do that quickly enough at this scale. The markers show where things like temples are, most of them are turned off by default so as to not accidentally spoil your game. If you created a map from a level.dat save then a player icon will track you as you play.
What the hell is level.dat and where do I find it?
First, download the map (Skyland). Open up Documents, My Computer, or something similar. Type%appdata% in the long bar at the top. Find and open.Minecraft. You should see a folder called Saves. Add your world in there. Open up Minecraft.

Go to Mods and Texture Packs. Cl ick on Open Texture Pack Folder. Go up one folder. You should see a folder called Saves.
Add your world in there.%appdata% is only on Windows, For Maps, hold down the Option key the same time youclick on the Go menu in the upper Finder bar (click on anempty part of the desktop) and click on Libray then click on Application Support/ minecraft/ saves The long way is Users/ yourname/ Library/ Application Support/minecraft/ saves For texture packs put them in the resource pack folder. Don't forget you can make an Alias of the minecraft/ folder and put it in the main Minecraft game folder with the restof your misc items so you don't have to keep going back and forth. Here's a better answer then I can give: In addition, in Mac OS 10.3 and above, you can also go to: Apple menu/About this Mac/More Info, click on 'Network',(then at the upper window in 10.5+) it will list every network-able item you have A ND will show you ALL the Network information in ONE WINDOW. By the way, you DON'T want to print out the 'System Profiler' report, at 500 pages you would run out of ink way before it was done.
It prints EVERYTHING. (and I've only had mine for 3 months!) Copy/Paste is your friend.
